Deleting your Skootora account

This page explains how to delete your Skootora account and the personal data linked to it, and what we keep afterwards. Skootora is operated by Joel Alfaro, C/ de Balmes, 129 Bis, L’Eixample, 08008 Barcelona, Spain. For any question about deletion, write to support@skootora.com.

Shops: delete your account in the app

If you run a rental shop, you can delete your account yourself, from inside the shop app:

• Sign in to your shop account and open Set up your shop (the “Finish setting up” screen in the console).
• Scroll to the bottom, to the Delete account section, and press Delete my account.
• Type DELETE in the box and confirm with Delete permanently. It runs at once and signs you out.

Deletion is refused while your shop still has an active rental, a balance owed to you, or a payout in progress — the app tells you which. Settle those first, or write to support@skootora.com, then delete.

Travellers: ask us by email

If you rented a scooter as a traveller, you booked without an account, so there is nothing to sign in to. To have your personal data deleted, email support@skootora.com from the address you used for the booking and we will remove it, subject to the accounting rule below.

What is deleted, and what is kept

Your login and profile are always deleted, together with any shop-staff access tied to them.

• A shop that never took a booking is deleted in full — its bikes, listings, delivery zones, staff and photos included.
• A shop that has taken at least one booking cannot be erased in full, because the related booking and payment records are accounting documents we are legally required to keep. Instead we permanently remove your identifying details — shop name, contact person, email, phone, address and bank details — and archive the account.

The booking and payment records that remain are held only as long as legal and accounting rules require — up to 7 years — and are then deleted or anonymised. They no longer contain the personal details above. This is the same retention described in our Privacy Policy.
